Who We Are

Talva Photography consists of husband and wife team Roman and Myra. We are Odessa TX photographers with an appreciation and heart-felt connection to all things West Texas. We love capturing the moments in life that you will be replaying in your heads for years and years. Whether its senior graduation photos, family portraits, or maternity sessions, we strive to preserve those precious memories you hold so dear.

We understand the usefulness of digital images in that they are great for sharing online via social media. But too often images are shared and liked, never to be seen again. We appreciate the value of printed photos to hang on your wall at home, or to share with loved ones in a photo book. A picture that you can hold in your hands forces you to slow down, carefully remember the sights and sounds of that day. Life’s most precious moments deserve to be captured and preserved.

What It’s Like to Work With Us

We strive to make every portrait session customized to each individual or family. From the very beginning, we work hard to understand your specific photography needs. Got a specific vision for your high school senior? Or does your family have a favorite spot they love to visit? Not sure where to begin? That’s okay too. Whatever your situation, Talva Photography’s mission is to assist you in crafting a fun and unique experience from the initial email or call, all the way to delivery of your final images and prints.

Having your senior portraits, family photos, or maternity pictures can seem daunting. For most of us, we are not professional models. During your shoot, we will work with you to strike the best poses in great locations that show flattering light. We like to have fun on shoots, so you’ll never have to worry about awkward silences or wondering if you’re doing it right.

Once your photography session is completed, we’ll communicate next steps to you.You’ll never be left in the dark wondering where you stand in the process.

Whether you have booked a senior portrait session, family portrait session, or a maternity portrait session, our images are crisp and bright. We stay true to the original colors with just a bit of pop to really make your photos stand out.

Few of us are professional models. We at Talva Photography understand this and make sure that everyone in front of the camera is made comfortable. Natural posing means presenting yourself in the best way possible, while still achieving artistic expression.
